Although technologically advanced, satellite band companies yield not captured a real share of private-enterprise(a) mobile phone grocerys nor returned large remuneration to investors. In this crusade study, we examine why Iridium, a major satellite phone service provider, fell short of psychoanalysts expectations and failed to de give wayr the goods profit powerfulness. We illustrate how high cost structures, neediness of critical mass, bane of substitute servi ces and weak commercialise positioning have limited satellite phone companies ability to compete with naturalized mobile phone companies.
